The Sama Horsemen

The Sama horsemen possess three distinctive personalities, each seemingly a separate entity. Ingrained, over a long period of time into his physical, psychological, and spiritual make-up, they have made him a complex character. Yet, the Sama horsemen appear to be very much at ease with all three: the ceremonial Bajau horsemen, the celebrated jockey, and himself, the custodian. The man does not lose his sense of identity even when he has to make rapid switches from one personality to another. This stems, in all likelihood, from his ability to recognize that he is Sama first and that the other roles ascribed to him, are his legacy.
