Takinan 4″ (Available in Various Colour)
This miniature Takinan basket is a product of the Murut community residing in Keningau and Tenom. It is skilfully hand-woven using strips of dried bamboo and is tied to four rattan stands using selingkawang, a type of grass. In the olden days, a full-sized Takinan would be used by the Murut to store paddy rice. This miniature version can be used as pen holder or to give your home an ethnic Murut touch.
